Tatashe
Fried eggs with Tatashe
The simplest way to start with Tatashe. A crisp-edged fried egg, a runny yolk and a spoonful of sweet pepper to drag it through.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- 1 tablespoon Tatashe
- A pinch of dried parsley
- Salt and black pepper
- Hot buttered toast, to serve
Method
- Heat the oil or butter in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
- Crack in the eggs and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, spooning a little of the hot fat over the whites, until they are set and the edges are crisp. Keep the yolks runny.
- Season with salt and pepper and slide onto a plate.
- Spoon the Tatashe next to the yolks and scatter over the parsley. Serve with hot buttered toast.
Tip
Break the yolk straight into the Tatashe.
Allergens in this dish: egg and gluten (wheat), plus milk if you use butter. Tatashe is made in a kitchen that handles peanuts. Always check the labels of the other ingredients you use.
